Alejandro Benitez

Alejandro Benitez graduated from California State University, Long Beach with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. He then received his Juris Doctorate and Certificate in Criminal Law Studies from Western State College of Law. Not only is Mr. Benitez a fluent Spanish speaking attorney, but he is also a Notary. 

 

Mr. Benitez first began his legal career when he began working for a prominent national worker’s compensation defense firm in 2014 as a legal assistant. Thereafter, Mr. Benitez interned at JusticeCorps, where he assisted self-represented litigants navigate and understand the complex legal system. During his time with JusticeCorps, Mr. Benitez would assist the self-represented litigants in a number of legal matters such as Unlawful Detainers, Petition for Child Support, and applying for Restraining Orders. During law school, Mr. Benitez interned as a law clerk with an immigration firm assisting immigrants in gaining lawful status.

Mr. Benitez gained invaluable knowledge and experience when he interned as a certified law clerk for the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office in 2018. During his time with the District Attorney’s office, Mr. Benitez conducted over 30 felony preliminary hearings. Mr. Benitez prosecuted serious felonies ranging from Grand Theft Auto, Possession of Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute and Assault on a Peace Officer with a Deadly Weapon. Mr. Benitez became an intuitive and insightful criminal attorney and quickly learned the number of flaws with today’s Criminal Justice System, which is why he has since switched his focus to criminal defense practice. 

 

Since graduating law school and becoming a fully license attorney, Mr. Benitez has become an aggressive criminal defense attorney. Mr. Benitez is a strong advocate of the People’s Constitutional Rights and advocating for those who have been wrongfully accused. 

 

In his spare time, Mr. Benitez enjoys golfing and reading law journals making sure he keeps up to date on the criminal justice system and its changing laws.
